I loved photographing this fresh 48 session at the CPMC Mission Bernal Birth Center in San Francisco. This was my 2nd time photographing this family at this same hospital! I photographed big sisters entrance into the world, which was the first birth session I had ever shot. I was thrilled when they contacted me to shoot their fresh 48 session. Mom wanted me to capture her daughter meeting baby sister for the first time and I thought it was the sweetest idea. I loved not only seeing this family again, but also meeting their newest addition to the family! During their session I realized these sessions are not only sweet in general, but they're also great for families that want lifestyle types of photos but they don't have the greatest natural light in their homes, or perhaps if they aren't too excited about the decor in their home.
Fresh 48 sessions are 30 minutes long which is short enough to not interrupt any feedings and its long enough to capture photos like big sister or bother meeting baby for the first time along with some single shots of baby and family photos.
Are you having a baby at a hospital within the San Francisco Peninsula? Lets chat! I'd love to help you capture your family during the first 48 hours of your baby's entrance into the world. I am not sure how often I will offer Fresh 48 sessions in the San Francisco Bay Area but it doesn't hurt to ask! If you are due next year and you live in Hawaii, contact me if you'd like to do a Fresh 48 session!
